Starting with the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards, Gospel Music Association (GMA) members will be able to cast their ballots for Dove Awards online.

John W. Styll, president of the GMA announced that GMA has entered an agreement with Votenet Solutions Inc. of Washington, D.C., the leading provider of online voting software for associations and award shows, to provide Web-based balloting for the first time.

Votenet will conduct online voting for the GMA Music Awards which will be accessible through the award show's Web site (www.gmamusicawards.com) or GMA's Web site (www.gospelmusic.org). Members can go online for instructions and ballots for the first and second round voting for the 2006 Doves. Printed ballots will also be available.

"We are confident this added convenience and choice will be a tremendous benefit for our members and believe the ease of secure online voting will increase the percentage of membership voting for the GMA Music Awards," Styll said.
