GMA NAMES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS Print

The 4,500-member Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced additions to its board of directors. The newest directors of the GMA board will serve two-year terms, beginning in June.

They are Larry Blackwell Jr., vice president of gospel music for EMI Gospel; Karen Clark, manager of the Nashville Music Private Banking Division at SunTrust Bank; David Crace, senior vice president of EMI CMG; Jim Cumbee, president of non-broadcast media for Salem Communications; Tim Marshall, senior vice president of artist relations for Word Records; Dale Mathews, president of Brentwood-Benson Publishing; and Don Moen, president of Integrity Label Group.

The board also elected four new vice presidents at music companies to join the board. They are Demmette Guidry, vice president/general manager of Urban Records Group Music World/Sanctuary Urban Group Inc.; Cheryl Moore, director of Christian retail marketing of Verity/Zomba; Luis R. Fernandez Jr., senior sales manager for Latin America for Integrity International Group; and Nina Williams, vice president of label operations for Provident Label Group
