'The Shack' heads CBA Top 50 list |

The surprise hit novel The Shack heads the CBA Top 50's July best-sellers list. Besides William P. Young's first book, three other works of fiction in the top 10 are The Forbidden by Beverly Lewis (Bethany House Publishers) at No. 2, Dawn's Light by Terri Blackstock (Zondervan) at No. 6 and Dead Heat by Joel C. Rosenberg (Tyndale House Publishers) at No. 8. The most recent release in the top 10 is John Eldredge's June release Walking With God (Thomas Nelson Publishers) at No. 4. Graduation season impacted the top 10 for July: 5. God's Promises for Graduates (Thomas Nelson Publishers), 9. How to Stay Christian in College by J. Budziszewski (Think/NavPress) and 10. The Purpose-Driven Life Selected Thoughts and Scriptures for the Graduate by Rick Warren (Zondervan). New releases in the top 50 include Tom Ellsworth's Beyond Your Backyard (Standard Publishing) at No. 15, Kevin Leman's Have a New Kid by Friday (Revell) at No. 16, Alex and Brett Harris' Do Hard Things (WaterBrook Press) at No. 19, Oliver North's American Heroes (B&H Publishing Group) at No. 23, Wanda E. Brunstetter's Allison's Journey (Barbour Publishing) at No. 25, and Kerry and Chris Shook's One Month to Live (WaterBrook Press) at No. 30. Rounding out the top 10 are: 3. Captivating (John and Stasi Eldredge, Thomas Nelson Publishers) and 7. 90 Minutes in Heaven (Don Piper, with Cecil Murphey; Revell).
