Steven Curtis Chapman and Family Christian Stores have raised $50,000 for adoptions, orphans and widows.

During the Easter season, Family sold the "adopted" stuffed animal, the Shaoey Bunny, named after the Chapman's first adopted daughter, Shaohanna. The funds raised benefit Shaohannah's Hope, the foundation named that helps with financial assistance for those looking to adopt.

The bookstore has raised a total of $50,000 from combined sales of the Shaoey Bunny and its Barnabus teddy bear, where funds went to the James Fund, which benefits orphans and widows.

"I am so thankful that Family Christian Stores engages in caring for widows and orphans," said Chapman. " It's something God is inviting us to do together."
