Two Christian publishers are planning to release additional biographies about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was recently chosen to be the running mate by Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

White Stone Books will release Sarah Palin: The Real Deal by G. Robert James—which retails for $9.99—on Thursday, Oct. 2. Billed as "more than just a biographical sketch," the book "is a quick read and gives all the important facts about Palin's life, plus the controversy, the issues, and the prospects of the future Palin in the White House."

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin: Faith, Family, Country by Susan Sherwood Parr (Bridge-Logos Publishers) is scheduled to hit bookstores on Oct. 10. Bridge-Logos said the biography explores "Palin's background, accomplishments, family, experience and dreams. It contains never-before-published photographs and interviews with some of her friends and family members." The book retails for $13.99.

The two Palin books join two other biographies about the historic Republican vice presidential candidate. Earlier this month, Tyndale House Publishers began distributing a paperback edition, with an updated title, of Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment Upside Down by Kaylene Johnson, which was recently released by Fairbanks, Alaska-based Epicenter Press.

To be released Oct. 10, Sarah Palin: A New Kind of Leader (Zondervan) by Joe Hilley will explore Palin's career in politics, her life as a hockey mom and committed Christian faith, explaining how they influence her style of leadership and aligns with the country's changing economy in the information age, Zondervan officials said.
