Outreach Inc. has announced the release of "Fireproof Your Marriage"—a curriculum designed for married couples and small groups that features video clips from Fireproof—a drama about a firefighter struggling to save his dying marriage, which is due to release in more than 700 theaters across the country Sept. 26. The curriculum marks the first move by the San Diego-based company into the Christian retail market after 12 years of producing materials for churches nationwide. "With so many marriages in crisis and many couples desperate for godly help, we are pleased and excited to offer these resources and partner with churches and retailers to strengthen marriages," said Eric Abel, vice president of marketing products with Outreach. "The potential of this film and the 'Fireproof Your Marriage' curriculum to deeply minister to and heal relationships is enormous." The curriculum includes a Couple's Kit designed for spouses to study together and The Love Dare, a marriage book written by the film's co-producing brothers Stephen and Alex Kendrick. To be published by B&H Publishing Group, the book takes its name from a part of the movie's story line.
