Armie Hammer, who is scheduled to star as Batman in the upcoming Justice League: Mortal, will play a young Billy Graham in a film about the famous evangelist to be released in theaters Oct. 10.

Billy: The Early Years was filmed over a seven-week span in the middle Tennessee area, according to Nashville-based 821 Entertainment, which is producing the biopic that will coincide with Graham's 90th birthday.

The movie's plot focuses on the little-known "Templeton years" as Graham learned from Charles Templeton how to spearhead the post-World War II faith movement and how he became the face of American Christendom.

Academy Award-winner Martin Landau (Ed Wood) will play Templeton, while Lindsay Wagner (Bionic Woman) has the role of Morrow, Graham's mother,

"We've assembled an incredible group of talent in front of the camera and behind the scenes," said co-producer Larry Mortorff. "We all feel like we're touching a piece of the history that is Billy Graham."
