Provident Music Group (PMG) has announced the retirement of Provident-Integrity Distribution's Senior Vice President of Sales and Distribution Don Noes, effective today.

PMG President and CEO Terry Hemmings said the industry veteran "has contributed over 20 years of service to making our company, and the Christian music industry what they are today.

"His leadership and management of the sales team as well as his many positions of industry leadership provide a legacy of excellence that will be evident to all for many years to come," added Hemmings.

Noes, who currently serves as chairman of the Christian Music Trade Association Board and the Gospel Music Association Board of Directors, began his music career as a field representative at Brentwood Music in 1987. '

After serving as sales manager from 1989 to 1991, Noes was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Brentwood Music in 1992. He led the launch of the distribution arm of the company, Provident Distribution, formed in 1997 with the addition of the Benson and Reunion labels. In 2005, the company name was changed to Provident-Integrity Distribution with the addition of the Integrity Label Group and INO Records.

"I'm very proud of the work we've done in growing our music industry and distribution company over the years," Noes said. "We've created one of the most successful and innovative sales and marketing organizations in music distribution today. I'm incredibly excited about this new chapter in my life as I move into a mentoring role and creative resource for the Christian products and retailing industry."
