Portland, Ore.-based OCP, a nonprofit publisher of liturgical music and worship resources, has contributed to the relief of two historic Catholic churches affected by flooding in the Midwest.

In an effort to speed the recovery process, OCP is sending financial support to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, the Czech National Parish in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which was inundated with high floodwaters. The church is part of a historic area first settled in 1850. Support was also sent to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Taylor Ridge, Ill., which was first established in 1856.

"No community can ever truly prepare for something like this," said John Limb, OCP publisher. "We sincerely hope the contribution we provided will help start the recovery process. It's been our privilege to serve these parishes for many years, and they are certainly in our prayers."
