Thomas Nelson recently announced the One Million People Prayer Challenge in hopes of encouraging more than 1 million Christians to commit to pray during the 40 days leading up to the 2008 presidential election. The initiative orchestrates bookstores, ministries, churches and individuals together to create a concert of prayer for the nation.

The company is offering a booklet, If My People: A 40-Day Prayer Guide for the Nation, which includes 40 prayers, one for each day leading up to the election, and prayers from past presidents.
