Several publishers have been named among the 2008 Best Christian Places to Work according to awards given by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI). The list was announced last week during the Christian Leadership Alliance conference. Harvest House Publishers, Howard Books, Urban Ministries and INJOY Stewardship Services were winners in the Publishing category. "We are once again humbled and grateful to be acknowledged in this award," said Bob Hawkins Jr., president of Harvest House, which was also recognized in the Publishing category last year. The workplace survey, conducted by BCWI, a research-based organizational and human resources consulting firm based in Mercer Island, Wash., involved more than 7,834 employees in 67 organizations nationwide to identify great workplaces with a Christian mission and/or values.
