Thomas Nelson Publishers has put on hold the memoir of troubled pop star Britney Spears' mother.

Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World by Lynne Spears was scheduled for release in May 2008, around Mother's Day. But on Tuesday, media reports revealed that Spears' youngest daughter, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears, is pregnant with her boyfriend's child.

Lindsey Nobles, Nelson's director of corporate communications, told Christian Retailing that Spears' book "is delayed indefinitely. We are standing with Lynne and understand that right now it is most important for her to be focused on her family."

Nobles declined to comment on whether the content of Pop Culture Mom would change in the wake of the pregnancy announcement. Jamie Lynn is the star of Nickelodeon's Zoey 101.
