Children's expert Simon to lead licensing panel at BookExpo Print

Children's trends expert, author and radio host Mary Manz Simon will lead a panel at BookExpo America (BEA), according to the largest annual book trade fair in the nation en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States.

Simon, a member of Christian Retailing's advisory board who has made presentations and moderated panels at BEA since 2001, will lead a discussion titled Licensing Children's Products: Boon or Bane?

The panel will feature Dennis DeShazer, “Barney” and “Boz” co-creator; Kate Klimo, vice president of Random House/Golden Books; Debbie Kovacs, vice president of publishing for Walden Media; Bob Starnes, vice president of licensing and publishing for Big Idea Inc.; and Craig Walker, vice president, editorial and media, trade paperbacks for Scholastic Inc.

The panel will meet at 9 a.m., June 2, during BEA, which will be held in New York City from May 31 to June 3.
