'Left Behind' among top 25 books Print

USA Today

has named Left Behind (Tyndale House) among the top 25 books of the last 25 years. In its April 9 edition, the newspaper ranked Tim LaHaye's and Jerry Jenkins' 1995 end-times book No. 12 among books that “made an impact on readers (in) the publishing industry over the past quarter-century.” Rick Warren's The Purpose-Driven Life (Zondervan) was ranked No. 13.

The article ran a week following the release of Kingdom Come, the 16th and final installment of the “Left Behind” series, which USA Today said “wrapped up with a bang.”

Other top titles cited by the newspaper, which compiled the list in celebration of USA Today's 25th anniversary, included Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, The Da Vinci Code, Fast Food Nation and The Satanic Verses.
