The Parable Group has opened a second office outside of Nashville, company officials said. Rod Huff, vice president of franchise operations, manages the location. Expansion representative Jim Clark also works out of the office, with additional staff members scheduled to join the team in the months to come.

According to officials for San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based Parable, the purpose of the second office is multifaceted. “Between our San Luis Obispo and Nashville offices, we'll be within a one-hour flight from most of the stores we serve,” said Parable CEO Steve Potratz, who noted that having an office centrally located in the country will help Parable in its aim to effectively serve its stores.

Another reason is geographic convenience for vendors, which will translate to better selection for Parable stores and their customers, company officials said.

“There are so many publishers and music companies in the Midwest in general and the Nashville area specifically,” Huff said. “Vendors will be able to drive up for their one- to two-hour presentation and drive back in the same day.”
