Christian hip-hop artist Sivion survived a near fatal car accident on Valentine's Day. In a posting on his Web site titled “Thankful to be Alive,” the Dallas-based performer said he was driving home from his day job when he flipped his car into an overpass. Sivion said he suffered internal bleeding, which required surgery on his abdomen. “I'm at home recovering and dealing with medical bills, lost wages from work,” he said. “Please keep me and my family (wife and two children) in prayer. God has done some amazing things through this situation, and I know that His glory will be shown even more as the days, months and years pass from this time.”
Sivion won Best New Artist of 2005 during the Sphere of Hip Hop Awards '06. He is part of the hip-hop group Deepspace5 (Gotee Records).
