Gospel artist Kirk Franklin received the prize for Favorite Contemporary/Inspirational Artist at the American Music Awards, Nov. 21. Franklin was nominated along with Aly & AJ and Casting Crowns. Winners were announced from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles during a live broadcast on ABC.
