Balow leaves Tyndale for Oasis Audio |

Dan Balow, the man who helped steer the “Left Behind” end-times fiction series to its phenomenal success, has left Tyndale House Publishers after 14 years. He resigned as director of marketing, sales research and analysis to join Oasis Audio, the leading producer of audio books for the Christian market. While at Tyndale, Balow spent four years as business development director for the best-selling “Left Behind” novels by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. At Oasis-part of Domain Communications-Balow will oversee the company's sales and marketing, product development and acquisitions. Oasis produced the “Left Behind” audiobooks for Tyndale House at its Carol Stream, Ill., headquarters. Tyndale House President Mark Taylor said Balow had “made a wonderful contribution to Tyndale House.” Balow also is chairman of the board of the Global Publishers Alliance, the ministry arm of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, and a member of the board of the Christy Awards for Christian fiction.
Balow replaces Rick Pritikin, who has taken up the role of vice president of sales for Christianguide.com, an online directory.
