The board of directors of Concordia Publishing House (CPH) has elected Bruce G. Kintz as the eighth president of the official publisher of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Kintz has been with CPH for more than seven years, serving as vice president and chief operating officer for the last five years. He replaces Stephen J. Carter, who retired, and interim president Paul McCain, who will continue with CPH as executive director of the editorial division and publisher. The board also appointed Jonathan D. Schultz as vice president and corporate counsel of CPH. Schultz has been with CPH for more than eight years as in-house counsel, the last five serving as corporate counsel with additional responsibilities for the human resources department.
CPH “is blessed with a strong management team and workforce,” Kintz said. “I look forward to leading this great group of people as Concordia Publishing House continues to partner with the churches, schools, ministries, and laypeople of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and other churches by providing the resources they need to share the Gospel message and help strengthen individuals' faith.”
