Grizzly Adams Productions (GAP) won three Crystal Awards of Excellence, the highest award presented by the Communicator Awards, for Breaking the Da Vinci Code, a broadcast TV documentary; Miraculous Mission, a religious documentary; and The Search for Heaven, a DVD documentary. The Communicator Awards, headquartered in Arlington, Texas, is “an international awards competition founded by communications professionals to recognize excellence in the communications field,” the organization's Web site says. Awards are presented for audio, video and print media. More than 3,000 entries were received from the U.S. and five other countries for this year's prizes. “It's always rewarding to have your work judged as among the best in the industry,” said Chuck Sellier, president of GAP. “The three Crystal Awards of Distinction bring the total number of awards to 120 received by GAP for television series, documentary specials, and DVD/VHS programs,” said David W. Balsiger, senior producer.
