Cross Culture Entertainment announced it will launch Bubblemag, a bimonthly entertainment lifestyle publication for Christian youth ages 13-20. With a controlled circulation of 50,000 copies distributed through Christian retail stores, specialty surf and skate stores, Christian youth events, concerts, megachurch youth groups and special-market channels, as well as full online and e-mailed copies of the magazine, Bubblemag will launch with a May/June issue. “In cartoons and comic books, the dream of a character is often revealed in a bubble floating over the character's head,” said Nino Camilo, editor of Bubblemag. “Bubbles show what goes on inside our heads: our dreams, our feelings and our goals. The purpose of Bubblemag is to encourage young disciples and potential disciples of Jesus to grow in their faith and to passionately pursue their God-given dreams, using their God-given talents.” Feature stories will include interviews with and articles about top artists, athletes, film stars and writers. The magazine will also present reviews of popular music, movies, DVDs, books, video games and comic books. The inaugural issue of Bubblemag will release at Christian retail in May and will profile Chris Lauri from Boarders for Christ and independent musician Rheanna Downey, as well as feature interviews with Reed Cromwell, frontman for Olivia the Band, and Kelli Murray, lead designer for Jedidiah Clothing. Bubblemag has partnered with FrontGate Media to help establish the publication and for advertising representation.
