Fan-driven HearItFirst.com is set to relaunch this month as a community Web site for Christian music fans. The site, which first launched in 1998 in a different format, has been revamped to cover all genres of Christian music. Boasting artists “from all labels” and of all styles without a large marketing presence, the site is focused “solely on needs and desires of music fans primarily in the 18-24 demographic,” a company statement said.

Fans will be able to preview upcoming albums by established and new artists, rate their favorite music and save the information on-site, find similar acts with an interactive “Six Degrees” feature, communicate with posts and artist blogs on a message board, watch video and listen to audio interviews and performances, and purchase CDs from an online shop. Additionally, independent artists can submit their music to the “Indiescovery” section for exposure and review.
