Whitaker House is celebrating 35 years of publishing contemporary and classic Christian literature. Launched in December 1970 in the garage of company president Robert E. Whitaker Sr., Whitaker House has since seen significant growth, and is now housed in custom-built offices, including a 135,000-square-foot warehouse distributing more than 16,000 different products.

Whitaker House's first book, It Can Happen to Anybody by Russ Bixler-founder and CEO of Cornerstone Television-was published in 1973. In September 2004, Whitaker House launched Whitaker Entertainment, the company's multimedia division, which produces and distributes CDs, videos and DVDs.

Commemorative events will begin at CBA Advance, where retailers will find special discounts on select products, as well as the new “Faith Builders Value Line” featuring discounted promotional items.
