InterVarsity Press (IVP) announced it will launch two new imprints Jan. 2 in addition to the recently announced IVP Academic. The two new imprints, IVP Books and IVP Connect, will launch formally at a CBA Advance party in January. IVP Books will encompass biblical and profound books for Christian living; topics include apologetics, evangelism, discipleship, multiethnicity, family life and church/missions, dealing with such topics as Islam, love, sex and ethics. Beginning in 2006, IVP Books also will contain sub-imprints for strong growth areas. Formatio will publish spiritual formation books, beginning with The Deeper Journey by M. Robert Mullholland Jr., Resting Place by Jane Rubietta and Sacred Rhythms Ruth Haley Barton at CBA Advance. Veritas Forum Books will be a series of books that reflect a partnership between IVP and The Veritas Forum, a campus organization for students; its first book will be Finding God Beyond Harvard in fall 2006. IVP Connect will include resources that offer discovery experiences for groups and individuals. The “LifeGuide” Bible-study series, which has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, will be the flagship series for the line, which will also include Bill Donahue's Authentic Leader for the “Jesus 101” series and multimedia such as Emerging Culture, subtitled as An Interactive Curriculum, edited by Jimmy Long.
IVP Academic will continue to provide evangelical scholarly books. The three imprints will be under the corporate identity of InterVarsity Press.
