LifeWay Christian Resources has teamed up with The Worship Network to create “Transitions,” a new brand of visual resources for church services and activities, designed to create an atmosphere of worship, announced Bruce Koblish, president of the Worship Network, and Mike Harland, director of LifeWay Worship Music Group. The two companies have just released the first two DVD volumes for “Transitions,” which feature a variety of instrumental, solo voice and choral audio tracks combined with nature images and Scripture quotes. “Transitions” grew from the concept of Worship, The Worship Network's broadcast programming, which is designed to encourage worship of God through the use of nature images, music, Scripture and inspirational messages. The new “Transitions” DVDs can be used during the prelude, postlude and offertory of a church service or during Sunday school classes, small groups and other church activities. Volume 1 is a two-disc, nonseasonal resource with two hours of video in eight, 15-minute segments for use in church services throughout the year; it features original new music, traditional hymns such as “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and “Nothing But the Blood,” and modern praise and worship songs such as “Breathe” and “He Is Exalted.” Volume 1 will retail for $29.95. Christmas Volume 1 features one disc with one hour of video in four, 15-minute segments with beloved carol classics such as “O Come, All Ye Faithful” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” and newer Christmas songs such as “When Love Came Down.” The Christmas Volume 1 will retail for $19.95.
The Worship Network and LifeWay Worship Music Group plan to produce two “Transitions” products every quarter, with the next two volumes in the series releasing in early 2006 and including a specialty disc on Psalms for Worship. |
