John Tesh is taking a convoy of motor homes, travel trailers and RVs from Birmingham, Ala., this week to two hard-hit cities hit by hurricane Katrina. The vehicles will provide temporary housing for families in Slidell, La., and Long Beach, Miss.

The families have been adopted by Tesh and listeners of his syndicated radio show. The John Tesh Radio Show also is accepting donations of motor homes and travel trailers. Basic necessities to the affected areas such as cleaning supplies and toiletries also are being collected.
