The Mission America Coalition is inviting Christian leaders to explore the evangelistic opportunities presented in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, which opens Dec. 9 at theaters nationwide. The Disney/Walden Media movie is based on “The Chronicles of Narnia” series by C.S. Lewis.

Steve Douglass, president of Campus Crusade for Christ, and a member of the Mission America Coalition, said the movie offers an unprecedented evangelistic opportunity because “Lewis' work presents well the good news of Jesus Christ. When the movie comes to the big screen, Christians will have a unique opportunity to share their faith.”

The Mission America Coalition will hold Narnia Sneak Peek events in September and October in up to 150 of the top cities in the U.S. Pastors, youth ministers/workers, children's ministers, denominational leaders, para-church ministry leaders, business leaders and Christian educators are being invited to the “Narnia Sneak Peek” events. The 90-minute events will give leaders a peek at exclusive clips of the movie, share information about outreach/evangelism opportunities offered by the film and distribute a number of free materials.
