Zondervan and Relevant Media Group have announced a partnership that will make the TNIV, or Today's New International Version, the official Bible translation of Relevant Media Group and its subsidiaries, including Relevant magazine, Relevant Books, Relevant Leader magazine, The Relevant Network and www.relevantmagazine.com

Each time a verse is used on the Web site or in the magazines, the TNIV will be referenced. The TNIV also will be a sponsor on the newly redesigned Relevant magazine Web site, which will now include a fully searchable TNIV Bible online. Additionally, authors with Relevant Books will be encouraged to use the TNIV as their translation of choice. TNIV banner and print advertisements will be provided to Zondervan as part of the Relevant/TNIV partnership.

Released earlier this year in Old and New Testaments, Zondervan's primary target audience for the TNIV is the 18- to 34-year-old age group.

“We're thrilled that Relevant is behind the TNIV and recognizes it as the best translation for their core audience of twentysomethings,” said Paul Caminiti, vice president and publisher of Bibles at Zondervan. “This is a demographic that is interested in spirituality and we want to point them to a clear, reliable translation of the Bible that will help them investigate the big questions of life.”

Said Relevant Media Group President Cameron Strang: “Our generation is spiritually hungry, but many find it difficult to engage the Bible in their spiritual journeys. We're excited to partner with Zondervan to bring the TNIV to our readers because it is a translation that is very accessible, accurate and engaging. Our goal is to impact our generation for Christ through the media, and we believe partnering with the TNIV will help us in that mission.”
