Warner Faith, a division of Time Warner Book Group, has signed Nancy Gibbs, TIME magazine editor at large, and Michael Duffy, TIME's Washington Bureau Chief, to write an account of Billy Graham's relationship with each of the last 11 American presidents, beginning with Harry S. Truman.

Graham's stature as the world's premier evangelist and his standing as a friend and adviser to presidents have been reported through the years. The details of the relationships, how they evolved-in some cases through several generations-and how they altered the larger political landscape will be explored in the book due to be released in September 2007.
