Singer Ron Winans died June 17 at age 48 in Detroit. He is the second eldest of the 10 Winans siblings, which includes popular singers BeBe Winans and CeCe Winans. Ron Winans was a member of the Winans quartet with brothers Marvin, Carvin and Michael.

Winans, who had a massive heart attack in 1997, had been ill from heart complications for the last few weeks.

Earlier this year, Winans released his final CD, Ron Winans Family & Friends: A Celebration (Entheos).

A tribute will be held Thursday at Perfecting Church in Detroit. A celebration service is scheduled Friday at Straight Gate Church in Detroit.
