Don Pape, publisher of WaterBrook Press/Shaw Books, has resigned to take a job as a literary agent for Alive Communications. His last day with WaterBrook will be Friday. "Don has been a great friend and professional, and (he) will be missed," said Stephen Cobb, president of WaterBrook Press. "We wish him the best in his new endeavors with Alive and look forward to working with him in his new position as an agent." A successor is being sought for Pape's role at WaterBrook, an imprint of Random House.
"I'm excited about this new direction, but it's hard to leave," Pape said. "I am happy that I will be able to continue my relationship with WaterBrook through my new role at Alive."
