Thomas Nelson announced this week that it has seven of the top 10 books in Christian retail, based on the Jan. 3 P.O.S. data generated by Sales Tracking Analysis Trends Summary (STATS). The data is compiled by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).

According to the monthly ECPA best-seller lists for January, Thomas Nelson had 20 of the top 50 best-sellers.

The publisher also reported having several books on the general market best-seller lists. The Total Money Makeover (Nelson Books) by Dave Ramsey ranked No. 11 on The New York Times Business Best Sellers list as of Jan. 2. There also were three titles on Publisher's Weekly Religion Hardcover Best Seller list for December: Epic (Nelson Books) by John Eldredge, No. 3; Come Thirsty (W Publishing) by Max Lucado, No. 6; and Wild at Heart (Nelson Books) by John Eldredge, No. 7.

"We are thrilled with the success of our titles in both the Christian and mainstream retail markets and continue to see growth in both arenas," said Michael Hyatt, president of Thomas Nelson.
