ClovercroftPublishing-webChristian Book Services has launched new imprint Clovercroft Publishing, which will focus on general topics from Christian authors.

Clovercroft will launch 12 new books through Ingram this summer and fall. Releasing May 26, the imprint’s lead title is Unbreakable by Thom Shea, a 23-year veteran of the Navy SEALs who has won Silver Star and Bronze Star medals during multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. As the head of the Navy SEAL sniper school, Shea had the distinction of training several now-famous SEAL members, including Marcus Luttrell, who is played by Mark Wahlberg in the film Lone Survivor; the late Chris Kyle, whose book American Sniper became a No. 1 New York Times best-seller; Seal Team 6, which took down Osama bin Laden; and the sniper team that rescued Captain Phillips.

Unbreakable: A Navy SEAL’s Way of Life, began as a series of letters She wrote to his children in the event he didn’t return from his missions. Over several years, he added advice on life based on his SEAL training. He retired from active duty December 2013, and now runs a consulting service called Adamantine Alliance. The advice in the book can be used to benefit companies in their business strategies, but can also be used by individuals.

The book is timed to come out for Memorial Day. However, the Kindle version Unbreakable has already hit Amazon’s best-seller lists, ranking in the top 25 in Business Life/Motivation & Self Improvement, Management & Leadership/Motivational and Biographies/Business.

Christian Book Services launched its first imprint, Carpenter’s Son Publishing, in May 2010 after founder Larry Carpenter stepped down as president of Standard Publishing.

“We are thrilled to be able to continue the growth of our company by moving in to this new area of Christian publishing,” Carpenter said. “We thank STL for enabling us to grow and look forward to a long relationship with them in the distribution of our Christian-themed books. And we look forward to working with Ingram to make our general topic books, such as Unbreakable, a big success.”

Clovercroft and Carpenter’s Son will be carried by all wholesale distributors, but the primary warehousing and sales will be handled by each respective contract distributor.
