Needtobreathe’s ‘Rivers in the Wasteland’ debuts atop 'Billboard' chart Print

NeedtobreatheRiversInTheWasteland-webNeedtobreathe’s Rivers In the Wasteland (Word Records/Word Distribution) debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Christian Albums Chart. Released April 15, the album went straight to No. 1 on the iTunes chart and stayed in the Top 10 all week.

The band's single "Difference Maker" continues to the climb the charts, hitting the Top 10 this week at CHR. The band's next single "Multiplied" went for adds last week and was picked up by 29 Christian AC stations, making it the most added single at Christian AC.

Following performances of new single “The Heart” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show April 18 and on Late Show With David Letterman April 23, the group is slated to perform May 3 on the Saturday Sessions segment of CBS This Morning: Saturday.

The band’s North American headlining tour that kicks off May 1 has been extended for a further two months. The additional leg will include dates in Austin, Tex., New York City, Philadelphia and Boston.
