‘Outreach’ announces Resources of the Year Print

OutreachMagazine-webOutreach magazine is celebrating some of the best outreach-oriented books and curricula by honoring them as Outreach Resources of the Year. More than 170 resources were submitted for consideration, with 18 products being awarded the designation in 14 categories.

The winners are: Confident Faith by Mark Mittelberg (Tyndale House Publishers) and A Reasonable Response by William Lane Craig and Joseph E. Gorra (Moody Publishers) in Apologetics; What Every Pastor Should Know by Gary L. McIntosh and Charles Arn (Baker Books/Baker Publishing Group) in Leadership; Bold as Love by Bob Roberts Jr. (Thomas Nelson) in Culture and the Church; What Jesus Started by Steve Addison (Likewise/InterVarsity Press) in Church Health; From Times Square to Timbuktu by Wesley Granberg-Michaelson (Eerdmans) in Global Outreach; The World Is Not Ours to Save by Tyler Wigg-Stevenson (Likewise/InterVarsity Press) in Compassion; Orphan Justice by Johnny Carr with Laura Captari (B&H Books) and Resurrection City by Peter Goodwin Heltzel (Eerdmans) in Justice; Pursued by Jud Wilhite (FaithWords) in New Beginnings; The Real Win by Colt McCoy and Matt Carter (LifeWay Christian Resources) in Small Group Curricula; Get off Your Donkey by Reggie McNeal (Baker Books/Baker Publishing Group) and Follow my Lead by Holly A. Melton (Regal Books) in Missional Living; Sent by Hilary Alan (WaterBrook Press) in Biography; Minding the Heart by Robert L. Saucy (Kregel Publications) in Christian Living; MEGA Sports Camp: Breaking Free (Gospel Publishing House) and Audrey Bunny by Angie Smith (B&H Kids) in Children’s Outreach; and Teenagers Matter by Mark Cannister (Baker Academic/Baker Publishing Group) in Youth Outreach.

Running for 11 years, the awards aim to highlight valuable resources for church leaders and bring deserved attention to resources that can help churches better engage in effective outreach to share the gospel and reach for Christ.
