AbsolutelyGospelAbsolutelyGospel.com announced today the nominees for the 2014 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards. As in years past, the nominees were chosen by the staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com and select media representatives. Starting Feb. 1, fans will get a chance to vote for their favorites in certain categories.

“Our awards program isn’t always about representing the most popular, but rather the songs, albums and artists that made a splash in an artistic way,” said Chris D. Unthank, editor-in-chief of AbsolutelyGospel.com. “We are proud of this year’s crop of nominees.”

The Isaacs and the Bowling Family are tied for the most nominations this year, with each earning 10.

The Isaacs’ nominations include Album of the Year for The Living Years (Gaither Music Group/Capitol Christian Distribution), Mixed Group of the Year, Best Live Performer, and Country Song of the Year for “Walk Together Children”, while group members also received nods for Producer of the Year (Ben Isaacs), Songwriter of the Year (Becky & Sonya Isaacs) and Female Vocalist of the Year and Musician of the Year (both Becky Isaacs Bowman).

Meanwhile, the Bowling Family received nominations for Song of the Year (“Somebody’s Believing”), Album of the Year (Safe…After the Storm (RiverHill Music Group), Mixed Group of the Year and Country Song of the Year (“I’ll Be Alright as Soon as I Touch Calvary”), among others.
