Integra Interactive is to unveil details of its e-books solution for Christian stores at the International Christian Retail Show in Atlanta next month.

The initiative will center on stores introducing shoppers to the digital book world, selling e-readers and linking buyers to an online book club.

"Any introduction to the world of e-books without an e-reader is going to cause the person who enjoys e-books to go away from the CBA channel, not to it," said Integra's Chief Innovation Officer David Amster. "By virtue of the market forces, they will gravitate to the most popular readers, which are the Kindle and the Nook."

The new service will be able to be offered by retailers in association with Integra's myMEDIA BurnBar in-store burning system, currently in around 400 stores, or independently by stores that do not have the in-store burning system.

Integra will also present "Re:Think. Re:Position. Move Beyond a Burn System" at its booth, demonstrating how to create a music department that expands the CD selection for shoppers without adding inventory cost.

"Simply having a CD burning system is not enough because it fails to address a more fundamental need: How to keep product on the shelves for shoppers to view?" said Integra Senior Vice President of Business Development Don Noes.

Integra will also debut its new myMUSIC 2-Go branded MP3 player with a suggested retail price of $29.95.
