JeanaLedbetter-webWorthy Publishing has announced the promotion of Jeana Ledbetter to vice president, associate publisher of Worthy Books. Formerly vice president of editorial, Ledbetter joined Worthy at the company’s inception.

After nearly 30 years with the Southern California-based literary firm Yates & Yates, Ledbetter joined Worthy Publishing Group in 2009. Throughout her career, she has served as editorial advisor and literary agent to numerous best-selling authors, including Beth Moore, David Jeremiah, David Platt, Erwin McManus, Chuck Swindoll, Emerson Eggerichs, Les and Leslie Parrott, Henry Cloud and John Townsend.

“Jeana has a remarkable gift for recognizing creatively expressed, fresh ideas,” said Byron Williamson, president and publisher at Worthy. “As a prolific reader herself, she looks at potential new works from a consumer’s point of view. Our team is so fortunate to have her as part of our family.”

As associate publisher of Worthy Books, Ledbetter’s responsibilities will include managing new product selection and list development, packaging oversight and overall content quality control.

“I am excited about my new role, which will allow me to focus on acquiring and publishing remarkable books written by wonderful authors,” Ledbetter said. “Rich, moving content is what I look for as a reader and what I strive to acquire for Worthy Books.”

MorganCanclini-creditLindeyKnox-webAdditionally, the company has promoted Morgan Canclini to director of public relations and author relations. Formerly senior publicist, Canclini joined Worthy Publishing in 2011 after a stint as the director of marketing and media at Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group.

Canclini has spearheaded Worthy’s implementation of traditional and digital publicity campaigns and will continue to oversee in-house public relations efforts in her new role. She also will act as the primary point of contact for authors signed to Worthy Publishing and will be part of the acquisitions team.

Throughout her career, Canclini has been instrumental in launching books and increasing platform visibility for a wide array of entertainment clients—from athletes such as NFL Most Valuable Player Michael Vick to GRAMMY-winning artists Britney Spears and BeBe Winans to best-selling authors such as David Jeremiah and John Hagee.

“Morgan has been instrumental to the growth of Worthy Publishing, and we are proud to recognize her contributions to our collective success with her well-deserved promotion,” Williamson said.

Canclini said she is “honored to have been involved with Worthy Publishing from the outset, and to have the opportunity to grow with a company whose mission and clients are truly inspirational.”

Canclini is currently involved with campaigns for Hagee’s New York Times best-selling title Four Blood Moons, FOX News contributor Scottie Hughes’ debut, Roar (September) and Ted Dekker’s ”Outlaw Chronicles” series, among others.
