byron-miller-liguori-presidentLiguori Publications’ board of directors elected Father Byron Miller as president, effective Sept. 14. Miller, the former executive director of the National Seelos Shrine in New Orleans, succeeds Father Donald Willard, who served as Liguori’s president for two years.

At Liguori, Miller said he planned to promote the gospel using new and diverse methods. He also invited discussion and partnership with parish leaders and others involved in the work of evangelism.

Baker Academic announces key hires Print Email

baker-published-group-logoBaker Publishing Group announced Monday that the company hired Bryan Dyer as New Testament acquisitions editor for the Baker Academic division, Jeremy Wells as marketing director, and Eric Salo as project editor.

Dyer previously served as marketing director for Baker Academic and Brazos Press. He received his Ph.D. from McMaster Divinity College and earned his degrees from Denver Seminary and Calvin College.

greg-gudorf-pureflix-ceoGreg Gudorf is joining Pure Flix Digital as CEO. Gudorf is a senior technology/marketing executive with past success at Technicolor, DreamWorks Animation, Diego and Sony Electronics.

Gudorf will be responsible for directing and driving the anticipated growth of the new pureflix.com subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service. The service will take advantage of the rising number of streaming video households in North America; the number of households is expected to reach 76.5 million by 2020, according to a Digital TV Research forecast.

Trammel-Madison-webZondervan announced July 30 the promotion of Madison Trammel to senior acquisitions editor for digital, reference and reflective titles. Trammel will work within Zondervan’s church, academic, reference and reflective (CARR) publishing group, which is led by Stan Gundry, senior vice president and editor in chief for Zondervan.

Trammel will serve as the lead acquisition editor in the reflective category and will oversee Zondervan’s reference publishing. He will also give editorial direction to the group’s digital publishing initiatives.

Trammel has been a part of Zondervan’s editorial team since January 2011, when he began as acquisitions editor in the CARR group. He is a graduate of Multnomah Bible College with a double major in Biblical Studies and Journalism. In 2004, he received a master's degree in Christian History and Theology from Wheaton College.

Before joining Zondervan, Trammel was a writer/editor and editorial supervisor at Wycliffe Bible Translators, an editorial intern with InterVarsity Press, an associate editor with Christianity Today and an acquisitions editor for Moody Publishers.
