Hachette Book Group has announced the hiring of 30-year publishing industry veteran Adrienne Ingrum as editor of its FaithWords imprint.

"She brings experience in both the general and Christian markets, has worked with a number of best-selling authors and has remarkable skills and instincts," said Rolf Zettersten, senior vice president and publisher for FaithWords and Center Street.

Ingrum has spent 14 years as a publishing consultant and book packager developing, managing and editing projects for publishers, corporations, agents and authors. She has edited manuscripts for many best-selling titles, including books by FaithWords authors Creflo Dollar and Michelle McKinney Hammond. She has consulted for Urban Ministries Inc., the largest African-American Christian publisher.

Ingrum previously held vice president positions at Crown Publishers, WaldenBooks and the Putnam Berkley Group. "I'm delighted to join the Nashville division in a position that allows me to devote my energies to my first love-editing manuscripts in a non-acquisitions role," said Ingrum. "It's a blessed opportunity to serve a team of editors and publishers I respect, and to work on topics I'm passionate about. Hachette is a terrific company, a publishing innovator and a place of new adventures for me."
