Ohio-based P. Graham Dunn has entered a new product category, introducing Amish-themed cards, postcards and calendars. “It all has Amish-inspired images,” said Anthony Burdette, the company’s marketing manager. “Calendars can actually be customized to the store so you can get your store name added to the back of the calendar. The higher quantity you buy, the cheaper you can get the calendars.” With photography by Randy Fath, postcards come in packs of 12 and greeting cards in packs of six. Burdette said retailers at last month’s International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) in St. Louis were expressing the strongest interest in Dunn’s puzzle piece art, which were introduced in January. “Since the summer, we have introduced probably 30, 40 more different colors and varieties, and those have just been selling like crazy for us, and we think stores are going to do the same,” he said. The company was also celebrating its Parable Vendor Partner of the Year award, presented at ICRS. In addition, Dunn’s popular laser personalization program will have touchscreen software starting in January 2014, and as a result, there has been “a strong increase in the interest,” Burdette said. The new software “takes a lot of the work off of the store employee and [puts it] more in the hands of the consumer, and it’s pretty fun to do as well,” he added.
