mike's chairFour-piece Mike's Chair—Mike Grayson, Sam Tinnesz, Jesse Hale and Jon Haire—formed after meeting as freshmen at Belmont University in Nashville. The quartet won heavy radio play for "Can't Take Away," the first single from the group's self-titled debut album, released last month by Curb Records (Word Distribution).

Grand Ole Opry member Diamond Rio, six-time Vocal Group of the Year, follows its 2007 Word Entertainment release, A Diamond Rio Christmas: The Star Still Shines, next month with The Reason (Word Distribution) for the label. The country sextet has scored nine No. 1 hits and sold more than 10 million records.

year of gracePopular Irish worship leader Robin Mark, best known for his Revival in Belfast CD, returned last month with Year of Grace (Integrity Music/Provident-Integrity Distribution). Recorded live, the 12-song Celtic/folk-style project includes songs co-written with well-known songwriters Paul Baloche and Vicky Beeching.

Concordia Publishing House's Heirs of the Reformation: Treasures of the Singing Church is a four-CD set showcasing hymns from the time immediately following Martin Luther. The 45-track collection includes compositions by Bach, and features a blend of choral and solo voice, modern and historical instrumentation.
