JasonRovenstine-webDaySpring Inc. announced today the hiring of Jason Rovenstine as the company’s new vice president of product development for gifts and specialty, and the promotion of Bob Perryman to the position of vice president of product development for greetings.

Rovenstine has developed successful product lines and brands at Barbour Publishing, Summerside Press and, most recently, the Guideposts Foundation. He was one of the founders of Ellie Claire Gift and Paper and worked with the creative team that developed that brand. As owner of Roverhaus Creative, he provided creative strategy, communication and publishing services for large manufacturing and creative service companies. Rovenstine earned bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Communications and an associate’s degree in Construction Management from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

James Barnett, president of DaySpring, explained why Rovenstine was the perfect hire for DaySpring.

“Jason brings a valuable combination of creative ability and business acumen to our team,” said Barnett. “He is a leader who excels at working with creative people while leveraging ideas for business growth and development. We feel his experience in the Christian publishing world will be of great benefit to our future.”

Barnett continued: “Jason is actually returning home to DaySpring after a 12-year absence. He was a product design manager in his previous employment here and we know his strong commitment to his faith aligns with our DaySpring mission and brand identity.”

Rovenstine commented on his return to DaySpring.BobPerryman-web

“It is a profound honor for me to return to my roots in the gift category and to work with amazing people that deliver creative product excellence,” said Rovenstine. “I believe DaySpring has even more talent and potential than they may realize. In these days of tough retail challenges, I see DaySpring doing bold and innovative things to support their retail partners—actions that can have an impact at the store level to reach more consumers.”

Rovenstine added: “I’ve always felt grateful for the diversity of my past experience at various companies. I’ve worked with different teams on distinct product lines across multiple categories. Now I see how it all comes together for this role at DaySpring. But it’s not just the amazing product that DaySpring delivers to retail or the respect they have in the industry that brought me back. I’m here because of the people and the heart of the mission of DaySpring.

Perryman joined DaySpring in 2005 following over six years of experience at Hallmark Cards. His previous roles at DaySpring included sales, demand planning and product development. He graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, with a business administration degree.

Mark McKane, senior vice president for sales and product development at DaySpring, praised Perryman’s work.

“We have tremendous respect and admiration for Bob’s ability to think critically and strategically about the future of DaySpring’s product offering,” said McKane. “He is committed to a unified and focused approach to take our product lines to new levels of market place success.”
