dove-awards-46th-logoThe Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced today that five-time GRAMMY winner Erica Campbell and best-selling author Sadie Robertson will co-host the 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards.

Jackie Patillo, Gospel Music Association (GMA) president and executive director, was pleased with the hosting selections.

“I am elated to announce that Sadie Robertson and Erica Campbell will be hosting this year’s Dove Awards,” said Patillo. “Sadie is faithfully using her voice and celebrity to share how you can lead a positive and wholesome life while enjoying your youth. Erica Campbell is a master at commanding the stage, and we know she will have all of us in the palm of her hand on Oct. 13.”

Campbell said she is "super-excited" to be co-hosting the event.

“It's going to be an amazing night especially since I get to stand next to the lovely Sadie Robertson as co-host!" Campbell said. "I truly believe we are better together! I believe God smiles when we stand united for His glory!"

Robertson shares Campbell's excitement that the two will be co-hosting.

"It is a true honor to be able to share the stage with Erica Campbell, and it's going to be a great night," Robertson said. "I am really looking forward to it!"

Campbell recalled one of her fondest Dove Awards memories.

"I remember my first Dove Awards performance with gospel legend Kirk Franklin at the Grand Ole Opry,” she said. “Tina (of Mary Mary) and I were so nervous and excited! But the audience praised God with us as we sang ‘Shackles.’ Our outfits were terrible, but the night was amazing!"

The GMA also announced nominees for Song of the Year: Big Daddy Weave, “Overwhelmed”; Casting Crowns, “Thrive”; Crowder, “Come as You Are”; Danny Gokey, “Hope in Front of Me”; Francesca Battistelli, “He Knows My Name”; Lauren Daigle, “How Can It Be”; MercyMe, “Greater”; Needtobreathe, “Multiplied”; Newsboys, “We Believe”; and Phil Wickham, “This Is Amazing Grace.”

The nominees for Songwriter of the Year (Artist and Non-Artist) also were announced today. In the Artist category, the nominees were Bart Millard, Chris Tomlin, Lecrae, Matt Maher and Phil Wickham. In the Non-Artist category, the nominees were Benjamin Glover, David Arthur Garcia, Dianne Wilkinson, Jason Ingram and Seth Mosley.
