Jason Crabb, vocalist for The Crabb Family and performer at the Grand Ole Opry and Brooklyn Tabernacle, releases his self-titled solo debut June 30 through Spring Hill Music (7-89042-11432-5, $13.99, EMI CMG Distribution).

Produced by Tommy Sims and Norro Wilson, the project features appearances by Vince Gill, Sonya Isaacs and members of the Gaither Vocal Band. The release pays tribute to Crabb’s Southern roots, but Sims’ involvement helped bring about a more “soulful sound” on “Somebody Like Me,” Crabb said.

Cards and gifts share hope and spawn grateful community online

Family-owned art and stationery company Gratefulimages is launching “Clearlygrateful,” a new inspirational stationery and gift line, this summer.

“Clearlygrateful” is comprised of boxed cards, bookmarks and magnets featuring Gratefulimages artist Emily Beynon’s watercolor crosses paired with scripture. The line complements Demdaco’s “Sure Grace” home décor line, which also features Beynon’s watercolor crosses.

“Clearlygrateful” presents two new and four favorite Gratefulimages crosses. The crosses are accented with scripture, such as “The truth will set you free” and “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”

New inspirational line brings creativity to wall décor offerings

Brownlow Gifts’ new “St. Charles Inspirational Plaques,” made of a wooden base topped with a resin stone-like appliqué, feature a meaningful sentiment and ornate carved design.

Inspired by the architectural elements found in St. Charles, Ill., the plaques measure 7 by 7 inches and almost 1 inch thick.

When the idea was first presented to the item development team, there were some concerns about joining two very different materials. But Brownlow recognizes that retailers need to be equipped with creative items that have a strong shelf presence.
