New releases for children from Concordia Publishing House this month are led by Las parábolas de Jesús: Mensajes para niños ( Jesus’ Parables: Messages for Children, 978-0-758-61754-5) by Daniel Klenovsky, Edith Calaba and Erna Habringer.

The 53-page book introduces children up to age 12 to Jesus’ teachings through 12 of His parables including the good Samaritan, the lost sheep and the mustard seed. Each lesson includes reproducible activities. An accompanying CD offers six original songs to complement the lessons. The set retails for $22.99.

Cantando a Jesús ( Singing to Jesus, 978-0-758-61753-8) is a collection of the most popular songs from Concordia’s Spanish Vacation Bible School and children’s programs developed within the last four years, and retails for $17.99. The CD includes 20 children’s songs featuring catchy tunes with a gospel message. The book includes melody lines and reproducible lyrics sheets.

Concordia also releases this month two books in the “Coloring With Jesus” series, which is designed to help children aged 4 to 7 learn about God and His Word as they color. Each title is written by María Ester H. de Sturtz and illustrated by Vanesa Kroeger, presenting Bible stories through simple art and short sentences.

Coloreando con Jesús, bilingüe: Jesús es mi pastor ( Coloring With Jesus, Bilingual: Jesus Is My Shepherd, 978-0-758-61639-5) tells how Jesus feeds, cares, guides, protects and saves. Coloreando con Jesús, bilingüe: Gracias, Señor ( Coloring With Jesus, Bilingual: Thank You, Lord, 978-0-758-61640-1) teaches about giving thanks to God for His creation, for heroes of the faith, and for salvation.

Each coloring book is 32 pages and retails for $1.99. To order, contact Concordia Publishing House at 800-325-3040.
