Christian apparel just got a lot cooler, with the help of a company that offers designer blue jeans with a positive message.

316 Jeans was established in 2007 by Justin Jenkins as a way to subtly show his faith and has already become known for its attention to detail, from the high-quality denim to the lasered scripture details.

With a background in the motorcycle industry selling Christian products like helmets and stickers, Jenkins didn’t set out to start an apparel company. But he noticed that while there were many Christian apparel companies offering T-shirts, no one was selling anything for the bottom half of the body.

Since the launch, three designs of jeans have been created: Genesis 21:12, “God is with you in all that you do”; Matthew 19:26, “With God all things are possible”; and John 3:16, “Ride with Jesus.”

The fitted, handmade Diesel Denim cotton used for the jeans has detailing and is vintaged. The front, right hip pocket includes the lasered Bible reference, and the written-out Bible verse or saying is lasered down the middle of the left front leg.

A custom ichthus is embroidered on the outside rear pockets along with copper cross rivets.The jeans feature belt loops, hidden buttons, five pockets and a straight leg cut. Sizes for women range from 24W-31W and 26W-36W for men.

Retail prices are $40 per pair. More designs are planned for Christmas 2009.
