Divinity Boutique’s line of personalized, faith-based accessories has stores making repeat orders. In six months from its March launch, the "PEGZ" line had sold more than 1 million of its 21 charm designs. The $1 charms are pushed through the holes of shoes or the other products in the line—bookmarks, journals and bracelets. New products are on the way in 2009.
A skincare line from the Dead Sea in Israel is now being sold at Christian retail. AHAVA uses minerals, salts and botanicals from the region to create products for men and women, including Energizing Body Mud Mask, Multi-Vitamin Dry Oil, Purifying Mud Mask, Mud Exfoliator and Protective Moisturizer SPF 15. Products retail from $7.50 to $90. New Creative, the top supplier of flags in the Christian market, is expanding its line of horizontal designs. The initial release in January sold well and led the company to add three designs this month. Two designs under the National Geographic license are Hummingbird and Solar System, each $12 for the large flag and $6 for the garden flag. A third design by Janet Amendola featuring cardinals, hummingbirds, blue jays, a robin and goldfinches eating near a feeder is called Garden Life ($10, large flag; $5, garden flag).
