GospelLight-BW-300dpiGospel Light lawyers have received two offers from David C Cook (DCC), according to The Wall Street Journal. The bids precede Tuesday’s bankruptcy auction for Gospel Light. Items to be sold at the auction include Sunday school curricula and the “What the Bible Is All About” line.

The Journal reports that David C Cook has offered $1.1 million for all of Gospel Light’s Sunday school materials and $50,000 for “What the Bible Is All About.”

"DCC has in fact registered a bid to buy certain assets of Gospel Light, and we expect the process will be resolved within the next two weeks," said Tim McDonald, chief advancement officer at David C Cook.

Gospel Light voluntarily filed for bankruptcy in August, causing an indefinite postponement of 2016 Sunday School materials. Sales from Tuesday’s auction are expected to repay Gospel Light’s debtors.
