Adrenaline-Movie-Screen-capWord Films has reached a distribution deal with the makers of Adrenaline, the International Christian Film Festival (ICFF) winner starring John Schneider and written, produced and directed by Joseph Quinn Simpkins.

Adrenaline is the story of a drag racer whose life is changed forever by a near-fatal car crash that leaves him partially paralyzed, forcing him to face new circumstances as he ulitmately learns to race again. The film, scheduled for theatrical release late this summer and available through Tugg.com, also stars Gregory Alan Williams, Charlene Amoia and Michael Rosander.

“After straightening the curves all these years, it was a pleasure to finally race in a straight line,” said Schneider, perhaps best known for portraying Bo Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard TV series. “I am very excited about this film."

Word Films, a division of Word Entertainment, also has entered into a partnership with the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) for the film, which has already garnered critical acclaim. Simpkins won Best Director for a Feature Film at the 2015 ICFF for his work on the project.

“The goal of every executive producer is to hire a great distributor to partner with in marketing their film,” said Executive Producer Del Baron. “Both the Adrenaline team and myself could not be happier with our decision to sign with Word Entertainment. Word Entertainment came to our team with a real understanding of our core target audience, the movie's ministry and the ongoing relationship with our sponsors, like the PDRA. We are very excited to share our work through our partnership with these two great organizations.”
